Sandra Gardner is an Educational Psychologist with over 17 years experience of treating a wide range of psychological issues in children and adolescents.
Registered with the Health Care Professions Council, HCPC, she holds a Masters degree in Educational Psychology as well as a degree in Psychology. Sandra Gardner has also undertaken additional training in a range of therapeutic approaches.
Having worked in local authority, education settings and the third sector, for Glasgow City Council, Jordanhill School and the Notre Dame Centre, Sandra Gardner has amassed a wide ranging skill set and experience.
Sandra Gardner specialises in working with the following conditions low mood, self harm, anxiety including social anxiety and phobias, emotional regulation issues, stress including exam stress, PTSD/ trauma including developmental trauma involving neglect and abuse and low self esteem.

Sandra Gardner has a wealth of experience in working with children and young people who are care-experienced including doing therapeutic life-story work.
Sandra Gardner works primarily within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT, framework, incorporating elements of related therapies, such as Mindfulness, Solution Focused therapy, Person Centred Therapy and Trauma Focused CBT.
Sandra Gardner can offer EMDR treatment for trauma/ PTSD. Only individuals with specific training in EMDR for children can offer EMDR to those under the age of 14. Sandra Gardner is trained to offer EMDR to adults and EMDR for children and adolescents.
Sandra Gardner is an accredited practitioner in Video Interaction Guidance, VIG, which aims to strengthen attachment and attunement within relationships resulting in improved communication and interaction. She is also experienced in running groups for children and young people around topics such as managing anxiety and exam stress.
