Our clinical director, Dr Yvonne McNeill leads our expert witness team. Our expert witness team has over 20 years experience of assessing, writing reports and treating the psychological sequelae of critical incidents such as road traffic accidents, injury at work, medical negligence, abuse, assault, military service, heart attack, traumatic birth, medical diagnosis, major burns, to name a few. Dr McNeill completed all components of the BondSolon University of Aberdeen expert witness course including expert in report writing, court room skills, cross examination skills and Law and Procedure.
Our expert witness team have lengthy NHS careers in adult, children and maternity hospitals. Only with many years’ experience of working with medical professionals, does a psychologist gain a comprehensive understanding of the terminology used, the layout of medical records, and the medical treatments offered by all professionals involved in treatment and rehabilitation, e.g. surgeons, clinical nurse specialists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, prosthetics etc.
Our expert witness team have worked in NHS, Private Services and Military Trauma Services and therefore, are experts in assessing and treating the psychological impact of critical incidents.
