Adult Psychology

In Scotland, 1 in 3 individuals have a diagnosed mental health problem, and many more are distressed or stressed.

Providing psychological services to those in need therefore is a major challenge for the NHS and has resulted in long waiting lists and strict referral criteria which has been amplified by COVID. The Psychology Rooms can provide care when you need it, where you need it and at a time that is convenient for you.

We provide psychological assessment and evidence based treatments for a range of difficulties including:

  • Low Mood, Depression

  • Anxiety Disorders: including phobias, OCD, panic attacks, social anxiety

  • Anger Management

  • Stress/Burnout

  • PTSD/Trauma

  • Low Self Esteem

  • Sleep Difficulties

  • Body image issues, disorder eating, weight concerns

  • Adjustment to chronic illness: coping with medical treatment, surgery or pain

  • Adjusting to change, life transitions, getting married, separation, becoming a parent, changing or losing a job, retiring.
